The Heir Apparent

This fall, Ruby returned to the Lantern Theater Company to appear as Isabelle in David Ives’ The Heir Apparent. Replete with period costumes and rhyming couplets, this hilarious adaptation of Le Légataire universel by Jean-François Regnard is a classic Molière-inspired farce with some unexpected contemporary twists. Alongside her former Lantern love-interest and scene partner Chris Anthony (the Ferdinand to Wolf’s Miranda in The Lantern’s Tempest), the pair took on the role of the innamorati — young lovers who turn up the heat and the humor. This Barrymore Recommended production ran through the 16th of December.
